Prayer Groups
Charismatic Prayer Group
Shelly Wulf, 866-6454
Join a group of people who come together in an informal
but regular setting for shared prayer and mutual support in Jesus Christ.
We are united by our experience of being baptized in the Spirit and in the
exercise of the Charismatic gifts. These are the gifts of grace
given by the Holy Spirit to all faithful Catholics. By these gifts
the Spirit makes us able and ready to evangelize, support, and upbuild the
Church. The meeting is an informal worship session of those who wish
to praise and listen to God. Praise is expressed in a number of
ways: songs, formal or spontaneous prayer, silence and even shouts of joy.
God may speak to those gathered through Scripture, teaching, exhortation,
charismatic gifts and personal sharing.
Meetings: Tuesday, 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel
Christian Mothers' Prayer Group
Jay White, 753-2587
You are cordially invited to join the Christian Mothers'
Prayer Group. Our confraternity of Christian Mothers is one of more
than 3,300 parish units linked to the Pittsburg Arch-confraternity at St.
Augustine Church.
The main purpose of the confraternity is to keep married
women aware of their high vocation and aid them spiritually, especially in
the character formation of their children. Widows can benefit
spiritually, intellectually, and socially. If your children are
young, membership is even more valuable because of your added
responsibilities and natural concern for your children.
Any good practicing Catholic woman, married or widowed,
though she has no children, may be admitted.
Meetings: Second Monday of each
month from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
E.A.D.M.
Eucharistic Apostles of the Divine Mercy
Cathy Auster, 866-4771
Ours is a devotion to the Divine Mercy as revealed in a
vision to the Blessed Faustina Kowalsky by our Lord Jesus. The
Committee now has 12 volunteers and is open to anyone who wishes to
participate. During Monday "Adoration" we orally pray the
"Chaplet of Divine Mercy" after 8:15 a.m. Mass and again at 3:00
p.m. The "Chaplet of Divine Mercy" is said with rosary
beads and may be recited anytime as a private devotion.
Meetings: The committee meets three to four times
a year in preparation for the Feast of the Divine Mercy. No dues are
collected. Contributions may be made for preparation for the Feast.

PG-13 (for teens)

Usually, people think of movies when they see PG-13, but
to the teens of St. Jude it mean something much more. This group
gets together to reflect on Gospel reading and everyday happenings, share
faith and pray for and with one another.

Rosary Prayer Group
Toni Marino, 866-0850
The Rosary Prayer Group started as the fruits of the
Medjugorje pilgrimages on Monday afternoon before Benediction of the
Blessed Sacrament at 5:25 p.m., and it has extended to three different
ones for the convenience of the people of St. Jude.
We follow the messages of our Blessed Mother that ask us
to pray the Rosary for peace. We also pray for vocations, the sick,
the Holy Souls, and for our intentions and the intentions of our Blessed
Mother. Everyday from Monday through Friday, the Rosary is prayed
before and after the daily Mass.
Please join us, as many gifts of grace and blessings are
received and prayers answered as the results of this beautiful devotion.
