Nestled in a woodland setting, amid the hustle and bustle of the secular West End of Beaumont, sits a complex of red tile roofed buildings known as St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church. This plot of land, and the buildings on it have been consecrated through Solemn Pontifical Rites and dedicated to the Father as a HOLY PLACE where the Body of Christ can find forgiveness, meet to share the Eucharist, further their spiritual lives, tell their stories, and enjoy each other's company.
Thus it becomes
"The City of God".
All are Welcome
Only begotten, Word of God Eternal,
Lord of creation, merciful and mighty.
Hear now your servants,
When their tuneful voices
Rise to your presence.
Holy is this temple where our Lord is dwelling.
This is none other than the gate of heaven;
Strangers and pilgrims,
Seeking homes eternal,
Pass through it's portals.
Lord, we beseech you, as we throng your temple,
By your past blessings, by your present bounty,
Smile on your children,
And with tender mercy
Hear our petitions.
God in Three Persons, Father everliving,
Son coeternal, everblessed Spirit,
Yours be the glory,
Praise and adoration,
Now and forever.
Amen.
